whether legal ac tion will happen In the case of the four corporations Mr Ustrzycki is currently preparing a report for councils considera tion outlining the various options the Town can take He said Hills Develop ment Corporation was solvent the last time a corporate search was done on the company Mr would only say the most recent search was done within the last six months In taking legal action against a company the Town seeks per mission from the court to seize any tangible assets including pro perty or bank accounts belong ing to the firm To find out the solvency of a company Mr employs various methods including private eye techiques he said Sometimes seach warrants are even necessary he added Before deciding whether or not to take legal action the Town will consider whether any Town resi dent is pursuing legal action against the same company When this happens the Town is more cautious because the courts usually compensate a municipali ty before an individual said Mr He said his report to council concerning the four companies will be presented within the next month during an incamera ses sion That means press and members of the public are not permitted to be present for the discussion Crazy Boat Race back on course The Lions Club of Georgetown has announced the 25th annual running of the Crazy Boat Race to be held on the Credit River in the Halton Hills area on Saturday April 6 1991 The race provides fun for all contestants and serves to raise money for Multiple Sclerosis All contestants are asked to col lect pledges for MS and bring them to the race This race has been used to raise money for MS for the past nine years and ap proximately has been raised in that time to aid M S En try forms and pledge forms can be obtained by contacting the Georgetown Lions Club or any of its members The race starts in two sections with the serious canoers starting from Cheltenham Park at 1200 pm The Crazy Boats portion of the race will start at Terra Cotta at 1230 pm The
