big tour naments still await them March 28 and April are the qualifying dates for the Senior In vitational The top six boys and four girls will be divided up and put on to two teams that will be coached by Ralph Miller and Dee DeeHaynes Despite the fact that other houses are putting in all men and women teams Georgetown will be using a mixed team format for tills tournament There is a social for both teams to attend after the tournament Also on April the Seniors will be qualifying for the Combo tour nament This pinsoveraverage tournament will be held inhouse on April 14 The top male and female bantamjuniorsenior team will move on to the Zone Round later in April The coaches for this tournament are yet to be announced April 21 will be a busy day for the seniors as there are two dif ferent tournaments occunng To start the seniors who are named bowler of the month for September March will be com peting against each other for the title of Senior Bowler of the Year This pinsoveraverage event is always competitive The winner from each division bantam junior senior will then move on to the Zone and possibly the Pro vincial Finals From the bowler of the year senior excite ment to some and disappoint ment to others The great news locally is the resounding win by Beau Beaumont and Ron Scarlett in the Legion District doubles at Hamilton last weekend Gary also did match this coming Monday George are at Exchange and McGibbon play each other The points spread is important to both teams Last week George no 2 played no 1 and scraped through whilst no 1 defeated Copper Kettle no 3 who theoretically may still catch second place tied with OTooles no 1 when they meet George no 3 then it is off to the playoffs for all Jeff Richardson and Brent Gillespies highlighted the play with June Norton finishing 136 a worthy mention Dave Scutt closed and added three for good measure Brad Edgar shot and Randy Hunt was another with more than one extra point for
