SALLY Herald Special Think that figure skating in Georgetown is over No last weekend the Central Ontano Section hosted a You and Your Club seminar at the Nottawasga Inn in Alliston Four members of the GFSC event plus two more were there because one is treasurer of the COS and one is an area representative so Georgetown was well represented The purpose of the weekend was to hold seminars to help to run a more successful club and to share ideas with other club members There are clubs in the COS and there were 227 delegates representing 72 of those clubs There were five guest speakers with one being Debbie Wilks all who brought their knowledge and experience to enrich the weekend At the awards banquet Netty Kim was presented with an award for being the Canadian champion in Junior Ladies skating she started her skating career in the Georgetown Club The GFSC is expecting to put this new knowledge towards making the Georgetown Figure Skating Club even better for anybody wishing to learn
