Region Planning and Public Works Committee recom mended Regional Council support a York Region resolution supporting the use of municipal solid waste cinerators in Ontario The York resolution is response to the provincial government s decision to ban the use of municipal solid waste in cinerators in Ontario Milton Regional Councillor Bill Johnson a well known supporter of waste incineration urged com mittee members to support the York resolution saying the pro vince s decision on incineration was stupid Burlington Regional Coun Pat McLaughlin said the Region is obligated to support the
