they played against a strong and aggressive Brantford team and lost Due to Smithville pulling out of the tournament this meant that Georgetown went on to the semi finals the next day and met Grimsby The Grimsby team came out strong but the Georgetown girls were able to hold them to one goal in the first half However good defence by the Grimsby team kept Georgetown at bay and scored again in the second half to win the game A well played tournament by Georgetown girls against stiff competition The team has two more tournaments scheduled for Brampton on August 1011 and Oakville on August Senior Soccer Falcons down Mississauga 20 Georgetown Senior Falcons started the weekend off on the right foot last Friday with a 20 win over Classic at Alcott Field Georgetown got even for their loss to Classic in the first game of the season with the win Paul Smith continues to fit in as he scored the first goal on a sharp volley to the far post Smith helped set up the Falcons second goal as he pressured the defence into a giveaway Howie Oram awaited the cross from Smith and made no mistake putting it in the back of the net With that win under their belts Falcons were eager for the re match
