pre designstudy for ihe sec tion of Highway between the Highway interchange and the vicinity of the future Mavis Road crossing located approximately midway between First and Second Line West plans for widening of Highway from the vicinity of future Mavis Road to Trafalgar Rood ara also being developed Various widening alternatives have been studied by the ministry Study Team to address the need for increased highway capacity The study has involved consideration of the long term roles of all major roads in the area including municipal arterial roads and the ultimote freeway network A technically preferred concept has been developed far the proposed 401 expansion An Information Centre is being held to allow the public an opportunity to view the study work and the proposed preliminary design and concept plans for the Highway widening and to discuss the proiect with members of ministry Study Team Input from residents land owners and other Interested parties will bo used in the detail design of the Improvements between Highway and the Mavis Road and as reference during a future Preliminary Design Study addressing the section of Highway between the future Mavis Rood and Trafalgar Road These future design studies will fallow a Class Envir Assessment process approved for highway projects of this typo and will involve further public programs and submission of Environmental Study
