music with organist Stanley King of Toronto demonstrating the new Allen Digital organ recently installed in the church Mr King is the organist in two churches in Toronto His varied entertaining pro gram demonstrated to the fullest the rich tones to the rousing tune of the closing hymn Mine Lyes Have Seen the Glory Mrs Elaine Crawford chair man of the Choir Committee in charge of selecting a new organ introduced Mr King who opened the enjoyable program with Psalm The Heavens Declare the Glory of God This was followed by two Old English selections by S Wesley to demonstrate the different types of music Much pleasure was derived from three lovely gospel style in spirational hymns Great is Thy What a Friend We Have in Jesus and This Is My Father s World after which Mr King how the can be played by hands alone and then by feet alone in parts of fugue in G For a change of pace Miss Lor rame Lawrence a member of the choir sang a solo Under His Wings accompanied on the piano by church time favorite Danny Boy was delightful Members of the elders took up the collection for donations towards the purchase of the organ and Rev Ann Ross gave the dedication prayer Mr his the New director program played by an accomplished organist All in all the people were delighted with the polished per formance which demonstrated the capabilities of the new digital organ Many people from the ding
