Chrysler Raiders continue to shine on home ice Georgetown Chrysler Raiders continue to hold on to third place in the Central Junior west division adding three points to their total during two home games last weekend The Raiders first destroyed Ajax Axemen 125 Friday Dec 27 and then drew a tie with the first place Oakville Blades the following night Raider netminder was outstanding in last the two periods but Acton had many good scoring chances and Barber had to come up with some impressive saves to keep his team ahead Acton began to slip in the third and gave up three late period goals and took the loss Acton came back strong the next day with a strong victory over Brad was Ac tons MVP during this game picking up two goals to lead his team to the win The score was locked at two in the third period when Acton score two to ensure the win In AAA action the Halton Hurricanes dropped the first con test to Wexford Haltons Mike McPhail was named team for the game Three Raiders make allstar team Rob Three Georgetown Chrysler Raiders will be off to showcase their talents at this years Central Ontario AllStar game in January Rear guard Rob Doucette net Guirleo and left winger Todd have be chosen by Milton Merchants coach Rick Bince to take part in the allstar game that will feature the best of the west division taking on the top players from the east Coach Bince has expressed con fidence in all three Raider players and has already decided on his line ups for the contest Georgetowns top has been named to the allstar team in each of the four years he has played with the Raiders Carmelo Guirleo and Todd both newcomers this season and both acquired from the Sudbury Wolves Junior A squad have been a big part of Georgetowns improved play this year who joined the team in November has already scored points and Guirleo joining the team in October is amongst the top five goalies in the Central Junior B west division
