In Focus, January, 2010 8 Seniors' Tour of the Lights The first major snowfall of the season created idyllic, postcard-quality views of local Christmas lights on December 9 for the 30th annual Seniors' Tour of the Lights, hosted by the Kinsmen Club of Georgetown. Seniors climbed aboard buses and drove around town to check out local light displays before heading over to the Salvation Army's Georgetown Community Church for coffee, tea, snacks and egg nog. The St. Andrew's United Church choir and singers from the Salvation Army, led by the always-energetic Major Renée Clarke, provided the entertainment for the evening and all the seniors left with gifts and door prizes.
