It certainly ended with cold weather. Hang in everybody. Just a couple of months until spring! The end of January means your 2009 membership is up. I know most of you have renewed, but there are always a few stragglers. You need a valid membership card to take part in our drop-in programs. February is the month for sweethearts and valentines. With that in mind we are going to repeat the Valentine's Tea to be held on Thursday, February 11. Remember the fun you had last year? We are going to busy you with games, prizes and refreshments. Tickets are on sale for $3 at Reception. Try to wear something red. Fifth Avenue Jewellery will also be on sale. Thanks to people who read this column and have come forth with some fundraising ideas. We are always on the lookout for new ways to raise money and have a good time. The AGM is marked for Thursday, February 25. At noon, for $5 you will be able to purchase a sandwich lunch. The meeting will follow at 1 p.m. This meeting keeps you up-to-date on the accomplishments of the 2009 year and looks ahead to plans for 2010.
