Gallery Carol Englert I took my first photograph when I was seven years old. We were on holidays in Switzerland and my parents wanted a picture of themselves. My dad gave me their little Agfa box camera and told me just to make sure that I would not cut off their heads. That picture is in our photo album and I have them nicely centered with the mountains in the background. In Grade 7 one of our teachers started a photography club after school which I joined and I was hooked immediately. I loved swishing the pictures around in the solutions, but the machine to enlarge the pictures was my favourite because I could concentrate on just one part of the picture. In February 2009, at age 69, my husband Edgar rode his bicycle from Vancouver to Georgetown and I followed in the car, photographing along the way. These are images from that trip.
