Robin also enjoys educating her clients on the importance of doing simple every day stretches which can have a huge impact in increasing one's mobility. As a registered massage therapist, Robin uses therapeutic massage techniques to help her clients alleviate pain and lengthen and strengthen muscles. She does a lot of shoulder and intrascapular work, as well as sciatica treatment and posture improvement. Building relationships with her clients is very important to Robin, who runs her business, Have Table Will Travel, out of Dr. Mark Hassard's chiropractic office in downtown Georgetown. "Whether you see them only once or twice and help them with their problem, or see them on an ongoing basis, you develop relationships with them and they become comfortable and relaxed which significantly helps their treatment" Robin says. Robin makes sure she is available to see her clients whenever they need her. She offers same day, weekend and holiday appointments, and will make house calls if the client can't get out of the house. "I know how debilitating acute and chronic pain can be" she says. "It's very important that my clients feel they can call me and get in right away." SHOP HALTON HILLS Tremblay Home Decorating If you've ever bought window treatments in Halton Hills, chances are you've heard of Gisele Charette Tremblay. Gisele is the owner and operator of Tremblay Home Decorating, an Acton-based business that specializes in shutters, blinds and draperies for every room of the house. Gisele is proud to provide unique shop-at-home services where she brings all of her window treatment options, fabric swatches and up-todate colour samples to her clients' homes. She uses her keen eye for design and style to help her clients find the treatments that meet their needs and tastes and, from there, she orders, installs and services the treatments. "Not a lot of people out there provide the full service that I do," Gisele says. "It's a lot easier for the consumer to have one person do it all: the ordering, the installing and the servicing. It saves them a lot of frustration down the road." In her 20 years in the home decorating business, Gisele has built a strong reputation for her honesty, communication and competitive rates. Although she doesn't advertise outside of the Halton Hills area, positive word-of-mouth has brought her business from Cambridge, Kitchener, Guelph and Caledon. "I treat people how I would want to be treated," she says. "If I've done something wrong, I will admit it. Nine-and-a-half times out of 10, the customer really appreciates that honesty." "La vie en rose is a philosophy of life. It means to see the world through rose-tinted glasses," says the B&B's owner Aude Lemoine, who grew up in the Brittany region of France. "It's also a famous song by French singer Edith Piaf, which I really like." The décor integrates furnishings from local artists with articles from France. "I'm in love my house and I wanted to share it with others," says Aude, who likes to stay in B&B's when she travels. Aude lives on the top floor of the large house and does all of the cooking and cleaning. "I love to cook and entertain. It's part of my culture," Aude says. "I want to give my guests a French experience. Who said you have to take a plane to go to France?" In addition to the B&B, Aude also offers French courses and monthly French cultural evenings where guests do fun French activities like watch a movie, play board games or learn a new recipe. La Vie en Rose Bed and Breakfast is open for business and Aude is planning a grand opening ceremony for the early spring. +ABINET0RO When it comes to kitchen and bathroom renovations, Margaret Olah likes to think outside the box.
