The Alcoa Foundation sponsors their employees volunteering for the fundraiser and, in turn, Georgetown Salvation Army received a $3,000 cheque from the Alcoa Foundation. PURPOSE AND EFFECT OF THE PROPOSED AMENDMENTS The draft Official Plan Amendment (OPA 204) proposes to introduce policies in the Town of Caledon Official Plan related to Drive-through facilities. The associated amendment to the Comprehensive Zoning By-law, 2006-50 as amended, proposes to implement the proposed policy provisions of the Official Plan including the establishment of a 90 metre setback requirement for new Drive-through facilities from a residential zone or a lot containing a residential use. The purpose of these amendments is to provide clearer policy direction as well as establish regulations that will facilitate the development of Drive-through facilities in the Town while at the same time, fostering the health and well-being of Caledon residents and minimizing potential impacts on existing and proposed sensitive land uses. At the meeting members of the public will have the opportunity to learn about the proposed amendments to the Official Plan and Zoning Bylaw and ask questions of staff. Please note that Council will not be making a decision to adopt these draft amendments at the May 19, 2010 Public Information Meeting.
