Area residents interested in learning more about the Walk are encouraged to drop by the upstairs Community Room at the Real Canadian Superstore between 5:30 and 8 p.m. Monday. There will be coffee, cookies, and Dr. Jeff Sutherland, a local family doctor who has ALS, will be on hand with other ALS Walk committee members to answer questions about the upcoming Walk and hand out pledge forms. Last year's Walk in Georgetown raised $260,000-- the most brought in at any ALS Walk in Canada ever-- and organizers are hoping to be as successful this year.
