"People in our communities are thrilled to be supporting something as positive as the Conservation Gala, which helps fund so many local environmental projects," said Lisa Penny, CHF Chair. Proceeds from the 2010 Conservation Gala will support Credit Valley Conservation's Conservation Youth Corps program that allows high school students to help the environment by planting trees, constructing habitat and maintaining trails and Conservation Halton's Mountsberg Raptor Centre that provides care and shelter for 30 native hawks, owls and eagles, including Teddy the owl. The Conservation Gala features a gourmet meal with local produce, Ontario VQA wines, as well as a live and silent auction with great prizes.
