Baker, who plays wing on the senior Bearcats basketball team, was chosen for her improved defense and shooting during the season. Stanley, a power and right side for the Bearcats senior volleyball team, was selected for his game play, setting and spiking, which helped the team compete at OFFSA. Georgetown District High School Athletes of the Week are Amy Pond and Pete Phaunpa. Both are members of the Rebels badminton team. Pond was chosen for her good showing in the A Flight finals, in the junior singles, while Phaunpa was selected for finishing first at the CtK tournament and now advances to the Haltons. Christ the King Catholic High School Athletes of the Week are Calvan Lee and Marc Laforet. Lee, a member of the Jaguars badminton team, was chosen for his strong showing in the senior singles division. Laforet, a member of the Jaguars'swim team, was cited for his efforts at OFSAA, bringing home a gold in the 50 fly division, and silver in the 100 IM.
