How about some information on putting a pond in your backyard? Or how about going on a guided nature walk through a lovely wooded trail? Come out to Tea at the Manor to do all of this, and so much more. This upcoming fundraising event, with proceeds going to United Way of Halton Hills, will take place at a spectacular residence in Limehouse on Saturday, June 26, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Activities include: enjoy a fashion show hosted by Studio 49, learn how to create lush planters in the demonstrations by Crawfords Country Gardens, see an outdoor living display by HB Design and artwork by local artist Robert Hurst, plus other experts to answer your quesions on landscaping, ponds, design, gardening and much more. Enjoy a strawberry dessert with the strawberries coming from Andrew's Scenic Acres. Parking will be available at Limehouse United Way's Tea at the Manor offers more than just a cuppa Presbyterian Church and the Sixth Line (carpooling is encouraged!). Tickets are available, and can be purchased in Georgetown from Fendley Florists, Silvercreek Espresso Bar and United Way of Halton Hills, 905-877-3066. In Acton, you can purchase tickets from Blooms Away Flower Shop and Tuitman's Garden Centre. Crawfords Country Gardens on Five Sideroad is also selling tickets. People can buy tickets at the gate of the house (Sixth Line and 22nd Sideroad in Limehouse-- will be well signposted). The cost is: $20/adult; $5 children (ages 2-16); children under 2 are free.
