Funnel cloud spotted in Georgetown On Friday, July 9 at 6:47 p.m., Sabrina and Mike Keck were driving home from Acton when on Hwy 7 at the Trafalgar Rd. intersection, Sabrina noticed some very dark clouds over Georgetown. Once in their Ontario St. driveway, Sabrina spotted a funnel cloud forming in a dark cumulus cloud looking east, down Ontario Street, and within seconds it extended all the way down and was disappearing behind trees. She did not see whether it touched the ground. Then it quickly moved to the right and started to dissipate into a thin sliver, then it was gone-- it only took seconds to form and disappear. Sabrina luckily had her camera handy, and snapped a couple of shots before it disappeared.
