It was red and white as far as the eye could see in Glen Williams as hundreds of people celebrated Canada Day in the Glen. The party got started bright and early with a pancake breakfast, followed by a baseball game between the Glen Williams "Townies" and the town councillors. Later, countless families lined the streets for the annual parade, then trekked back to the park for live music, games, demonstrations, food, ice cream and fun. The day was capped off with the Georgetown District High School swim team's duck race, which was sold out this year. After a busy day in the Glen, the crowds headed to Acton where they enjoyed live music and entertainment, followed by a dazzling fireworks display put on by the Acton Firefighters.
