The Sheridan Georgetown Satellite offers part-time upgrading in English, Math and Biology, and starting September 2010, will be adding Chemistry to its ever expanding program. Many high-demand post secondary college programs, including Laboratory Technician, Practical Nursing, Dental Hygiene, Pharmacy Technician, Animal Care, E.A. (Educational Assistant), E.C.E. (Early Childhood Educator) etc., require one or more of the sciences as a pre-requisite to entrance. The ACE science courses are specifically designed to meet this requirement, and they provide students with the knowledge required to succeed in post secondary studies. Classes are offered Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evenings, and students may register for up to three courses at a time. Tuition is FREE all that is required is a $40 registration fee, which includes Sheridan ID #. The ACE program is recognized by all Ontario College and Apprenticeship programs, and students who complete four senior-level courses, including English and Math, will earn an ACE certificate (grade 12 equivalency.) Courses are taught by Sheridan college professors. The ACE program has already helped many adults realize their goal of qualifying for college, second career and apprenticeship training.
