On Tuesday, shortly after the lockdown was lifted, police reported that a 16-year-old male had been arrested after allegedly threatening a male student with what was believed to be a knife in the school. The school was put in lockdown about 11:10 a.m. for approximately 30 minutes while police searched the school after the victim reported the incident to the office. However, police said Wednesday, the incident didn't occur. "Police continued to investigate the matter and have determined the incident did not occur as originally reported," it was stated in a press release issued Wednesday morning. THURSDAY, September 23, 2010 Perfect weather-- sunny and cool-- led to great turnouts and exceeded targets at the 30th annual Terry Fox Runs in Acton and Georgetown last Sunday. In Acton, 150 participants and 30 volunteers raised $24,500-- about $2,000 more than last year, while in Georgetown, approximately 400 came, raising $22,000-- about $6,500 more than what was raised in 2009. "Once again, a very exceptional and successful day, and we are so thankful to the many dedicated participants and their sponsors who have helped continue Terry's dream," said longtime Acton Terry Fox Run volunteer organizer Jon Hurst. "We had lots of cyclists, lots of families, lots of dogs, and lots CtK thrown into lockdown for incident that `didn't happen' See FOX, pg. 8 Double amputee Jacob Calvert, 11, who was inspired by Terry Fox, took part in his first Terry Fox Run Saturday at the Gellert Community Centre as he walked the 4.5 km route with his mom Sarah.
