Dallas, 56 years of age, beloved wife of Alpha. Loving mother of Michelle (Chris Whaling) of B.C.. Loved nana of John. Loved daughter of Rita and the late Norman Rees. Dear sister of Cyril (Anne), Norman "Butch" (Carole), Wayne (Dorothy), Pam, Lance and Fraser (Connie). Dear sister-in-law of Joey Hodgins (Yvette), Alphonsine Jean (the late Frank), Eloi (Juliette), Oliva (Rhonda), Francine Labannister (Larry), Laurent (Denise), Gaston (Christianne), Ovide (Debbie) and Cyrille (Carol). Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her nephew Kelly Larocque. A Memorial Service will be held in the chapel at the J.S. DEATHS NURSE, Harvey Edward March 30th, 1916 - September 15th, 2010 Harvey Nurse, our father, passed away peacefully in the evening of September 15th, 2010, at the Georgetown Hospital. He is survived by his children John and Jim Nurse of Ashgrove, Ontario and Janet (Lawrence) Guimond of Grand Bay-Westfield, New Brunswick; grandchildren Christopher (Beth) Guimond of London, Ontario, Jessica (Greg) Hemmings of Halifax, Nova Scotia, Adam Guimond of Perth, Australia; great-grandchildren Kaiya Hemmings, Lucas, Lochlain and Declan Guimond; nephews Jeff (Kenda) Nurse, Stuart Nurse and Adrienne (Des) Peacock Wilson. Predeceased by his wife Muriel, brother Fred and sister-in-law Zeta. Harvey was a farmer all of his life. He still actively farmed in 2007. Through the years he ran a dairy, herb and mixed farm, then beef followed by full-time crop farming. From the 1930's to the 1950's he was a member of the Norval Rifle Club. He was an expect marksman winning the Canadian National Championships in 1937, with a perfect score. He was on the Dewar Team which consisted of the top 20 marksmen in Canada. He was a charter member of the Ontario Steam and Antique Preservers Association which began in 1960. He was also a charter member of the Allis Chalmer Club. He enjoyed the Steam Era Shows and collecting antiques and rose plants for his garden. He appreciated nature and could always see the beauty in God's creation. He taught us to value the life around us. He always had time to talk to his neighbours and lend a hand. He loved his family very much. The family wishes to thank the staff at Extendicare Halton Hills for their care during the past 3 years. Visitation will be held on Friday September 24th, from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the J.S. Jones & Son Funeral Home, 11582 Trafalgar Road, Georgetown, Ontario, 905-877-3631. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday September 25th, 2010 at 2:00 pm at the Jones' Funeral Home. To send expressions of sympathy visit www.jsjonesandsonfuneralhome.com GEBERLEIN, Wendy Ann Wendy Ann Geberlein passed away on September 17th, 2010 at Guelph General Hospital after a brief, courageous battle with cancer. Wendy, born June 1st, 1961, beloved daughter of Jean McCrea Geberlein and Henry Geberlein; sister of Debra Paston and her husband Ken; beloved Aunt of Nicholas and Alexander Headley; beloved niece of Jane Vickery and Joan McTrash; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins in Germany. Wendy was a long time employee of Sears Canada with an expertise in home decorating. Wendy obtained her BA as a mature student in 1991, and avidly pursued her post-university education with courses in Law and Criminal Forensics at Seneca and Humber Colleges. Wendy is fondly remembered by a host of friends and was beloved for her joy and inspiration for life, and for her unfailing optimism in all of life's situations. Visitation will take place at Blue Springs Funeral Home on Sunday, September 19th from 7 to 9 pm. Mass will be held on Monday, September 20th, 2010 at 11:00 am at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Acton. Cremation will follow. Donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Guelph Humane Society.
