Good turnout to Rug Hookers' exhibit The Georgetown Rug Hooking Guild hosted another successful show at the Halton Hills Cultural Centre. Many people came from across the region and greater Ontario to view the special addition of Noah's Ark, which was hooked by the late Mary Sheppard Burton of Germantown, Maryland, with help in design and construction of frame from Leonard Freenan, of Charles Town, West Virginia. Sheppard Burton had a fond and special connection with the Georgetown guild for years, and was honoured to accept their invitation to display her three-dimensional Noah's Ark, alongside the many beautiful handmade works of fine arts produced by the guild members. The Ark has now moved on to its permanent home in the North American Hooked Rug Museum in Nova Scotia.
