Good turnout to Rug Hookers' exhibit The Georgetown Rug Hooking Guild hosted another successful show at the Halton Hills Cultural Centre. Many people came from across the region and greater Ontario to view the special addition of Noah's Ark, which was hooked by the late Mary Sheppard Burton of Germantown, Maryland, with help in design and construction of frame from Leonard Freenan, of Charles Town, West Virginia. Sheppard Burton had a fond and special connection with the Georgetown guild for years, and was honoured to accept their invitation to display her three-dimensional Noah's Ark, alongside the many beautiful handmade works of fine arts produced by the guild members. The Ark has now moved on to its permanent home in the North American Hooked Rug Museum in Nova Scotia. Raffle winners from the monthlong exhibit were: Sheila Gardiner, Wendy Boyd, Lorna Atkins, Kim Robertson, Germaine Firth, Rebecca Theodore, Tony Geng, Jeanne Preston, Sue Sage and Shirley Strong. Qualifications: · 3 Year Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology Program or equivalent education and experience. · Registration with O.A.C.E.T.T. with a C.E.T. designation. · 8 years experience in a Civil Engineering environment. · Knowledge of the Development Agreement process. · Computer literate in Microsoft Office computer software. · Valid Ontario Class `G' Drivers License and use of personal vehicle to perform duties. · Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. · Physically able to perform heavy lifting required (in excess of 75 pounds). Salary: The salary range for this full time position is $58,751 to $69,941 per annum.
