The contest offers prizes to shelters who are voted the best in the U.S. and Canada. The current challenge which started Sept. 20 will continue to Dec. 19. Last spring Upper Credit Humane Society (UCHS), which serves Halton Hills, was voted best in Canada and received $1,000-- much needed dollars for the Shelter, which receives no government funding. Residents are asked to vote every day on www.uppercredit. com (Click on the Voting icon at the left on the Home Page) and follow the links. "Please ask your children, teenagers, friends, neighbours and family to vote for YOUR shelter and get us those much needed dollars," said UCHS spokersperson Judith-Anne Kolu. "Every vote every day counts-- we are currently the lowest on the chart shown for Canada." This is an easy way to help the animals who are begging you to vote to help them, says Kolu.
