The Pathways planning information nights will be held in all four municipalities for students who are in Grades 7 to 12. Students, parents and guardians will learn how the youths can try a career path in high school before they head to an apprenticeship, college, university or the workplace. At the seminars attendees will learn how the students can better prepare themselves for a rapidly changing world while still receiving relevant, engaging and active education that meets their interests and needs. Attendees will learn about Specialist High Skills Major, Ontario Youth Apprentice Programs, Specialist School to Career Programs, expanded Cooperative Education Programs and Dual Credit college programs. The meetings are from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. The Halton Hills meetings are as follows: · Thursday, December 2: Acton District High School, 21 Cedar Rd. · Wednesday, January 26, 2011: Georgetown District High School, 70 Guelph St. Holding provision removed for cemetery The Town of Halton Hills has removed its `H'-- the holding provision for the Holy Redeemer Catholic Cemetery on 17 Sideroad. The removal allows the Catholic diocese to now proceed to the building permit stage. An H is placed on a project until the owner (the Catholic diocese) completes required works (in this case a site plan agreement). :\UKH` >VYZOPW H[ !
