Receiving funding locally are Georgetown Globe Musical Productions ($150,000), Georgetown Skating Club ($30,500), Roxy Community Music Place ($15,000) and 676 Lorne Scots Royal Canadian Army Cadets ($44,400). Globe will receive its funding over one year to renovate and re-purpose the Georgetown Armoury in the fairgrounds. The group is renovating the building for its new home. The renovation will help improve the facility's energy efficiency and make it more accessible to community residents. "We are absolutely thrilled and very, very grateful," said Georgetown Globe president Lois Fraser. "The Trillium Foundation recognized this is an excellent project," said Fraser.
