The Georgetown Rebels are undefeated in league and tournament play so far at 9-0, including a 3-0 mark in Halton Secondary School Athletic Association regular-season action. Coach Kyle Stewart's side has seven returning players from last year's OFSAA silvermedal showing and knocked off the defending provincial AAAA champs, Forest Heights, 25-17, 25-20 in the championship match at their own tournament in Kitchener this past weekend. Spotting the Jr. Sabres a 4-0 lead by the early stages of the second period in Buffalo Monday night, the Raiders rallied to tie the contest at four, only to give up two late power-play goals in a 6-4 defeat in Ontario Jr. Hockey League action.
