Growth should not place a financial burden on the Town, nor place extraordinary demands on the existing facilities," said Bonnette, pointing out the Town reluctantly agreed to accept 20,000 of the new residents legislated by the Province's Places to Grow plan. Bonnette concluded his speech with a message to everyone: "my door will continue to be open to ideas and suggestions that you may have to improve the quality of life." Challenger Motor Freight Co., escorted by Halton Regional Police, will be transporting the vats, that are 150 ft. in length x 24 ft. wide x 25 ft. high, weather permitting, between about 9 p.m. Monday and 6 a.m. Tuesday. The move has already been postponed once due to weather, then cancelled temporarily because of mechanical difficulties. Weather permitting, the plan now is that on Dec. 12 the vats will travel from Hamilton along Hwy. 5 and park on Dundas St. at Kerns Rd. in Burlington at 6 a.m. Monday, Dec. 13 for the day. · At 9 p.m. the cargo will travel east on Dundas St. to Bronte Rd. · North on Bronte Rd. to Derry Rd. · East on Derry Rd. to Trafalgar Rd. · North on Trafalgar Rd. to Steeles Ave. · East on Steeles Ave. to Winston Churchill Blvd. where Peel Regional Police Service will take over. It is expected to arrive there by 6 a.m. Tuesday.
