Police blotter: Gas station robbed Halton Police are investigating a robbery at the Petro Canada gas station on Steeles Ave. Wednesday. Police say shortly before midnight a man walked into the gas station and went to the counter where a lone male employee was standing. The suspect ordered the attendant to open the cash register, a weapon wasn't seen but the suspect kept a hand in one of his pockets and the employee felt he was concealing a weapon. Once the cash register was opened the suspect reached over and removed an undisclosed quantity of cash. He also took some lottery tickets before leaving the store. He was last seen walking north. The employee wasn't injured. The suspect is described as white, 6', 200 lbs. He was wearing a red longsleeved sweater, black pants with a yellow stripe and a black wool hat. The loans are valued at $35,000 in total.
