The group, working through Georgetown Yarn and Crafts store at 170 Guelph St., were given the yarn, supplied by the store and its suppliers, and they knit the squares. The 120 blankets have been donated to Links2Care, Georgetown Salvation Army and Halton Women's Place. On hand for the presentation were (from left) volunteer Thelma Francis, Cathy Gerrow of Links2Care, Major Renée Clarke of Georgetown Salvation Army and Yarn & Crafts store owner Diane Crawford.
