Dear editor, I understand that there are competing demands for the capital budget and choices need to be made. However, in this instance we are dealing with a `revenue generating investment' which is usually not the case when dealing with capital investments in a town. Within the last year I have personally invested the following outside of our town for my son's hockey development. · Dec 2009: $300, Primeline Hockey School (Streetsville) · March 2010: $350, Varsity Hockey School (Brampton) · Summer 2010: $400, Varsity Hockey School (Brampton) · Dec 2010: $300, Icesports Oakville If taxes or registration costs need to be increased then I am all for it. Better start times and more ice availability would mean more local citizens could choose, and likely would choose, to play in their home town.
