Public information meeting set for Thursday to discuss transportation plan A public information meeting will be held on Thursday (Feb. 10) for Halton Hills residents to hear about future transportation plans here. The Transportation Master Plan Study meeting will be held 6-8 p.m. with a presentation at 7 p.m. at the Mold-Masters SportsPlex. Residents will have an opportunity to ask questions of the project team on a one-on-one basis. In this meeting, the team, led by consultant Hatch Mott MacDonald, is seeking, in particular, feedback on current problems and conditions of the modes of travel including walking, cycling and vehicular traffic. The purpose of the Study is to develop an integrated transportation plan to meet the population's needs until 2031. An online survey is currently on the Town's website, www.haltonhills.ca. The club is looking for that special person, couple or organization to be named Georgetown's Citizen of the Year. This is the 36th year for the awardpast recipients have been individuals, couples or community organizations that cover all areas of volunteer efforts in Georgetown. The award can be given to an individual, couple, group or organization that has served the community as an outstanding volunteer, in sports culture, health or social services.
