For Anthony Maan and Michael Patterson of the Halton Window and Door Company, honesty is the best policy. The two pride themselves on not only providing the highest quality services and products, but also educating their clients about the work they do. The Halton Window and Door Company sells and installs residential windows and exterior doors. What sets the Georgetown-based business apart from others is that Anthony and Michael do all of the selling and installing themselves. "We don't hire any subcontractors, so the customer is always dealing with one of the owners of the company," Anthony says. "They know they'll be getting a good job." As part of their commitment to customer service, Anthony and Michael will soon be opening a showroom at 374 Guelph Street, Georgetown - the plaza at the corner of Guelph Street and Delrex Boulevard. The 1,000-square-foot showroom will feature full sized and installed windows and doors so customers can get an idea of how the products will look in their own homes. "We want people to be able to see exactly what they will be getting when they buy from the Halton Window and Door Company," Anthony says. 905-877-0177 DONNA BECKSTED 328 Guelph St., Georgetown 905-877-7119 ANTHONY MAAN & MICHAEL PATTERSON www.haltonwindows.ca Toll Free 1-866-323-9992 Halton Hills Rad and Tire Halton Hills Rad and Tire is proud to have been named Georgetown's favorite tire shop in this year's Readers' Choice Awards. Complete Automotive Services In Focus Physiotherapy Jenni Veneruz is the founder and director of In Focus Physiotherapy Inc., which opened in 2007 as a homecare practice exclusively for people with vestibular problems. Jenni is going to continue with her vestibular rehabilitation and homecare practice, but has decided to expand into a clinic setting. This will allow her to provide more services that are currently lacking in our community. Along with regular physiotherapy and custom knee bracing, In Focus will provide neurological rehabilitation for people with strokes, cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's, and head and spinal cord injuries. This specialized service will be provided by a highly trained physiotherapist with over 16 years of experience in this area. Other services include a Fall Prevention Program to help people with balance problems who are at risk for falls or who have fallen in the past. The Osteoporosis Exercise Program is a six-week program that runs two times a week and is run by an experienced physiotherapist with advanced training in this area. Jenni is a lifetime resident of Georgetown and is excited to introduce a new physiotherapy clinic to the community. In Focus Physiotherapy is located at 324 Guelph Street (Highway 7), between Harvey's and Tim Horton's. As a sales person with Indian River Direct, she can often be found parked in the parking lots at Yoyo Japanese Restaurant in Georgetown and the Hide House in Acton, chatting with customers as they buy fresh citrus products right off the truck. For the last eight years, Indian River Direct has been distributing oranges and grapefruits throughout southern Ontario. No pre-ordering is necessary: just pick a case off the truck when it's in town and bring it home. "Our products are always fresh, sweet and juicy," Kelly says. And when she says fresh, she means it. All Indian River Direct products are tree-ripened and picked no more than ten days before they reach the customer. Grocery store oranges are often picked four weeks before they hit the shelves, sometimes even more. "Once an orange is picked, it doesn't get any sweeter," Kelly says. "That's the secret with oranges: they have to be tree ripened." Kas Interiors It's one thing to create a gorgeous living space, but it's quite another to create a beautiful space that is comfortable, livable and practical for the homeowners. Kristen Shipman, a certified interior decorator and owner of kas interiors, has made it her goal to put together attractive and functional rooms for her clients. "Each room I do is unique to that person's lifestyle," says Kristen, who graduated from Sheridan College with honours. "They're the ones that have to live in the space, so they need to be happy with it." kas interiors offers a variety of home décor services, including colour consultations, lighting plans, furniture and space planning, wall coverings, and individual and complete makeover services. Kristen, who has worked in the decorating industry for five years, is also starting to offer home staging services. Although she is familiar with all decorating styles, she has noticed that many of her clients prefer a contemporary look that incorporates both modern and traditional pieces. "I've always been creative and I really like working with people. I've never met a person I didn't like," Kristen says. "I like seeing the before and after, and I love seeing the client's reaction when it's all pulled together."
