Mary was predeceased by her husband Edward in June 1994 and daughter Gloria Walker (Ken) in September 2000. Mary is survived by her loving daughter and son-in-law Donna and Bill Reid, her grandchildren Sacha, Lisa, Jeffrey, and Jared as well as her great-grandchildren Blair and Gabriella. Mary was born in Grayson, Saskatchewan and lived in Regina for most of her life. She moved to Ontario in 2002 and took up residence at the Sands Condominiums in Georgetown in order to be closer with her small family. She will be remembered by her many friends as a gentle and compassionate woman, always willing to offer both a kind word and another cabbage roll. The family would like to especially thank the outstanding nurses, doctors, and staff at the hospital who took such wonderful care of Mary during her stay. Visitation will take place at the J.S. Jones & Son Funeral Home in Georgetown 905-877-3631 on Sunday, March 27th from 2:00 pm until 4:30 pm; prayers and the eulogy will follow from 4:30 pm until 5:00 pm. Cremation has taken place. She was born April 14th, 1940 in Washington, D.C. and raised in Brighton, Mass. She was a registered nurse at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Brighton, Mass. Pat moved to Canada in May of 1965 when she married. She leaves behind her husband and best friend Terry, her three children Kathy (Bob), Mike (Tania) and Tim (Elizabeth). Pat was an awesome Nana to Katie, Julia, Jenna, Mackenzie and Kyle and will be deeply missed. She is lovingly remembered by her brother Jack Donahue, and his family of Saugas, Mass. Minnie Elizabeth Kathleen Johnston, dear wife of the late James Johnston (2010) for 56 wonderful years. Loving mother of Louise Johnston, Ann and Peter Nazar, Janet and the late John McCutcheon, Pauline and Steve Mathieson, Jim Johnston Jr. and the late Richard Johnston (1995). Proud `Grandma' of Jamie, Steven, Sarah, Amanda, Tracy, Kate, Laura, Connor, Paige and Liam. Their first Great Grandson is on the way. Minnie will also be missed by a large extended family, friends, and neighbours. Minnie proudly worked as a volunteer for victim services with the police for 10 years. A lot of plans were put on hold until we meet again. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 26th, 2011 at 1:00 pm in the Blue Springs Funeral Home chapel.
