Bach Chorale to perform Bach By CAROLE LUSBY Georgetown Bach Chorale On Sunday, April 10, the Georgetown Bach Chorale will be performing a period performance of J.S. Bach's Mass in b minor. This 2 p.m. performance celebrates the building of the new Holy Cross Catholic Church, 14400 Argyll Rd. at Mountainview Rd. in Georgetown South. This performance will be led from the harpsichord by the GBC's Music Director Ron Greidanus conducting orchestra, choir, and soloists. The Chorale is made up of auditioned choristers, working in collaboration with specialized baroque musicians, living both nationally and abroad. Benjamin Raymond will be the featured trumpet- Fundraising Event Savour the flavours at the winery and microbrewery stations provided by Angel's Gate, Joseph's Estate, Diamond Estates Wines, Kittling Ridge Estate, Coyote's Run, Puddicombe Estate, Wellington microbrewery, The Brick Brewing Co., and Nickel Brook Brewing Company. A tasting of gourmet international foods provided by Scarpaccio Ristorante. Live entertainment of Big Sweet Lou. er in this historic performance, as the principal trumpet part is renowned for its tremendous difficulty, especially on a baroque trumpet. Raymond is from Quebec City where he often performs with Les Violons du Roy under the direction of Bernard Labadie. Other special details in this performance include the use of two harpsichords and baroque organ, as well as the viola da gamba played by gamba specialist Justin Haynes.
