Lions welcomes all to free breakfast-- bring cash/food donation for food bank Georgetown Lions' second vice-president Jack Ruck and Marian Viant of the Georgetown Bread Basket food bank, will be among Lions Club members and volunteers who will be serving bacon and eggs this weekend at the second annual Lions Breakfast, in aid of the Georgetown Bread Basket. Breakfast is free with a food or cash donation to the food bank, as Lions Club organizers hope to exceed last year's collection of more than 3,500 lbs. of food, and $1,200. The breakfast, runs both Saturday, April 9 and Sunday, April 10, 7 a.m. to noon, at the Lions Hall, 42 Mill St., Georgetown (behind Memorial Arena.) Last year, more than 500 breakfasts were served, which the Lions view as a thank you to the community for their help and donations over the year.
