Christian Braithwaite and Alex Garbutt of Harrison School and Dominic Ranco and Zachary McDonald of Joseph Gibbons were chosen to make the Wednesday, May 11 trip. The Georgetown boys were among 175 children from across the province who boarded an Air Canada plane to Florida early in the morning for a day of fun at the theme park. Dreams Take Flight provides the trip free of charge for socially, physically or mentally disadvantaged children. For the past 12 years the Georgetown Lions Club has been a local sponsor and donates funds towards the cost of the Georgetown children. Alex said he really enjoyed the trip. Marlene Garbutt, Alex's mom, said they were very thankful to everyone involved in making the visit to Disney World a reality.
