34 Independent & Free Press,Thursday, May 26, 2011 Bruce to Milton Transmission Reinforcement Project Notice of Construction in Halton Hills O N T A R I O ' S Hydro One Networks Inc. (Hydro One) and its contractor, Valard Construction, are starting construction of the Bruce to Milton Transmission Reinforcement Project in the Town of Halton Hills in May. The project will add an additional 3,000 megawatts of clean and renewable power to Ontario's grid. At each tower location, construction will involve a number of steps over a period of approximately two years. Construction activities and the proposed schedule are shown on the table at right. We understand that construction can sometimes be disruptive to the local community, and we are working to minimize any inconvenience to your community and to keep you informed throughout the process. Once construction begins, residents may notice some increase in truck traffic on local roads. We expect that once the tower erection phase is complete, traffic associated with the project will be significantly reduced. To minimize traffic impacts in the area, a comprehensive traffic plan has been developed and approved by the Town of Halton Hills. The approved plan showing the truck route is outlined in the map above. We thank you in advance for your patience as we complete this important work.
