In Focus, June, 2011 4 Letter from In Focus In the words of the immortal Alice Cooper (I'm serious about the immortal part: that dude has lived hard and is still going to outlast us all): school's out for summer. Well...almost. June is here and the countdown is on to the last day of school that magical day when students step out of school and into long, hazy days of sleeping in, swimming and summer camps. But before that joyous day arrives, students must make it through a labyrinth of end-of-year tests, projects and exams. We here at In Focus send out a hearty "Good luck!" to all the local students as they wrap up another school year. We hope you have a happy and safe summer and that you remember to bring In Focus with you on your summer travels. You could see yourself in our next issue! In this issue, we have photos of the daring souls who braved the terrible weather last month to attend local plant sales, fundraisers, showcases and celebrations. June is shaping up to be just as busy...but hopefully with better weather. Our photographers will be at the Walk for ALS on June 4, the Highland Games on June 11 and the Big Daddy Festival on June 17 to 19. Be sure to come up and say hi we're a pretty friendly bunch! Now it's your turn! What is your favourite summer memory? How will you be spending those lazy, hazy, crazy days of summer? Is Alice Cooper a supernatural being? Do you have an event coming up? Have you taken a really cool photo you would like to see in print? We want to hear from you! PS: Happy Father's Day! Happy June!
