Photo submitted by Steve Frost ABOVE: At the Acton Aqua Ducks Swim Club's recent Swim-a-thon, 38 swimmers aged five to 17 swam a total of 4,271 lengths of the Acton pool. The swimmers' goal was to swim the equivalent of the 85kilometre distance it takes to cross Lake Ontario, which they easily accomplished, logging an impressive 107 kilometres. The annual Swim-a-thon is a major fundraiser for the club. This year's event raised an estimated $1,500, which will go towards keeping fees as low as possible for all swimmers.
