Acton District High School Athletes of the Week are Wyatt Martin and Jesse McFadden. Martin, a Grade 11 student on the Bearcats' senior boys' soccer squad, volunteered to be the goalkeeper for their first two games and kept the score close. McFadden displayed strong leadership skills and was a pivotal player for Acton's senior boys' soccer Bearcats. Georgetown District High School Athletes of the Week are Joy Wicks and Michelle Borgal. Wicks, a Grade 11 student on the Rebel fastpitch team who plays either catcher or shortstop, scored three runs and had three singles in a win over Holy Trinity. Grade 9er Borgal has been a strong player on the wing for the junior girls' rugby side, providing leadership for the Rebels in their run to the Halton championship before bowing out to powerhouse Oakville-Trafalgar. Christ the King Athletes of the Week are Nicole Waters and Davide Agapito. Waters, a Grade 11 midfielder was the leading scorer for the Jaguar senior girls' soccer team that finished first in its division with a 4-1-1 record and advanced to the Halton semifinals. Agapito, in Grade 12, had another standout season in goal for the senior Jags' boys' soccer squad and served as one of the team's leaders as well. SPORTS EXCHANGE Happy 45th Anniversary.
