Demand for postcards addressed to the Minister in opposition of the highway has been overwhelming since they were introduced by Halton Hills Mayor Rick Bonnette's office about two weeks ago. The cards are in response to a MTO study-- GTA West Corridor-- that's proposing two fourlane (initially) provincial highways: one north-south (option 4-2) that stretches on Halton Hills's east side to Hwys. 401/407 and a second (option 4-3), east-west that could span across Halton Hills between Five and Ten Sideroads and ends at Hwy. 401 at Tremaine Rd. in Milton. Halton Hills Council supports the 4-2 option, but is opposed to 4-3 and Bonnette generated the postcard for citizens to send to Wynne protesting that highway.
