Youth nabbed in police investigation A 15-year-old Georgetown boy is facing four counts of possession of stolen property after police were called to the John St. area about 1:20 a.m. Tuesday. A 15-year-old Georgetown girl was diverted to the Halton Youth Justice program. An area resident had contacted police after seeing people inside a car parked in a driveway on that street. Police responded and apprehended three youths a short time later. Property was recovered that was believed stolen from vehicles in the McNabb and John St. area including an iPod docking station, GPS and books. Anyone missing these items from their vehicles is asked to call Det. Const. A padlock was pried open to gain entry. Three loops of copper wire had been dragged to the garage door, but nothing was taken. *** Two Stihl concrete saws valued at about $1,200 each were stolen from a trailer parked at a Hwy. 7 property sometime Monday. *** A 2006 Volkswagen was stolen from the parking lot at Nashville North sometime late Saturday or early Sunday. The car was later recovered in the Leslie St./ Police blotter Lakeshore Rd. area in Toronto. *** A $130 cigarette receptacle was stolen from outside Roxy Coffee on Mill St. E. in Acton sometime late Friday or early Saturday. *** A 32" Sanyo LCD television was stolen from a patio gazebo at a Robina Ave. residence sometime late Saturday or early Sunday. *** An Acton man was charged after Halton Police stopped a vehicle being driven erratically on 10 Sideroad near Trafalgar Rd. about 2:05 p.m. Saturday. Charged with impaired driving and having over 80 mg of alcohol in 100 ml of blood is Kelvin Burnett, 44, of Acton. *** Police are investigating a break and enter into a garage at a Harold St. home about 1:50 a.m. Saturday. Police say the resident of the home woke when she heard her garage door opening. She looked outside and saw a youth wearing jeans and a black hoodie who joined another youth wearing similar clothing at the end of the driveway. An unlocked vehicle on the property was also entered. Nothing was taken but the garage door opener in the vehicle was used to open the garage door.
