Help give cancer a kick The Canadian Cancer Society Georgetown Dufferin Peel Unit's Kicks For Cancer is back for its 12th annual soccer tournament with this year's event to be held Aug. 6-7 at the Creditview fields in Brampton. An earlybird price of only $350 gets a team of up to 18 into the tournament. (A fair play bond of $100 is also mandatory that will be given back or can be donated to the Canadian Cancer Society.) Kicks For Cancer was started in 1999 as a memorial soccer tournament and has raised more than $170,000 for cancer research. More than 300 participants and volunteers are expected to support this year's tournament.
