He said police are awaiting a toxicology report. "Speed is definitely a factor," said Davies. He added police are doing an analysis of Clemance's cell phone to determine if it was being used at the time of the collision. At the scene, Halton Hills firefighters used infrared technology to scan the immediate area to ensure there had been no one else in the car who may have been ejected. Police say it appeared the Honda was travelling northbound on Tenth Line when the driver lost control on a curve and downward grade on the road. The Honda left the road and struck a tree head-on at the base of a driveway. There were no eyewitnesses to the collision. Police say the roads were dry and the weather was clear at the time of the crash. Tenth Line was closed in both directions for about five hours to investigate. Any witnesses who may have seen a blue Honda driving in Georgetown in the early morning hours Saturday are asked to contact the CRU investigators at 905-878-5511 ext. 5065. Clemance's father Bev said his son lived in Georgetown since he was four years old and attended Holy Cross School and Christ the King Secondary School. He said his son, who was working as an apprentice automotive technician at Canadian Tire in Milton, loved playing sports and played hockey, soccer and lacrosse in Georgetown.
