IN MEMORIAMS Wastewise celebrates its 20th anniversary Wastewise recently celebrated its 20th Anniversary during a special day at Willow Park Ecology Centre. Wastewise's goals are to divert resources from disposal and to educate individuals and businesses about waste reduction. At its 36 Armstrong location it operates a drop-off, and resale of, reusable items such as household goods, office furniture and clothing, recycles paper and other items. There is a user free of $1 for drop-off of recyclable items. Note: Wastewise does not accept large appliances such as stoves, washers or dryers or mattresses and box springs. Volunteers are always welcome. They also did some administrative work and took a tour of Town facilities, while Alyman conducted swimming lessons in the morning and oversaw camp games in the afternoon. D'Oliveira, who worked The Staying Alive Fitness team raised over $10,000 in the annual MS bike tour from Ac- with the camp staff, is entering his fourth year in the poton's Prospect Park to Kitchener and back again. So when there had been a swastika painted on the construction sign posted near the Acton Community Centre, they gathered cleaning supplies and took it upon themselves to remove the graffiti.
