Police blotter 5 Independent & Free Press, Thursday, September 29, 2011 Motorcycle swiped from side of road Halton Police are investigating the theft of a 2001 Harley-Davidson motorcycle sometime between 6:45 a.m. and 6 p.m. Monday. Police say the owner of the bike ran out of gas while riding southbound on Hwy. 25 Monday morning, parked it at the side of the road and when he went back to retrieve the bike in the evening it was gone. The motorcycle is valued at $15,000, with the plate 969YM on it. ··· Police report several thefts from vehicles in town over the past few days including: · Arborglen Dr. late Sunday or early Monday in which a Garmin GPS, wallet and iPod were taken. · Arborglen Dr. late Sunday or early Monday in which a $1,500 digital camera and camera bag were taken and new set of shocks in the vehicle. · Apple Blossom Cr. late Sunday or early Monday in which a GPS and Motorola cell phone were taken. · Lauchlin Cr. late Monday or early Tuesday in which a wallet containing credit cards was taken.
