An area rural roadway and Georgetown home served as locations in the as-yet-untitled film that will be shown to students in Grades 7 through 12 during the 2012/2013 school year. The film, which was also shot in Milton and Huntsville, will tell the fictional story of a teenager who goes to the family cottage with his big brother, his friend and girlfriend. Audiences will get to know the teens as they follow them en route to the cottage and as they indulge in risky behaviour-- drinking and smoking marijuana then boating and driving. "We want the audience to think of them as their friends, Filming for a MADD Canada film was recently done at 17 Sideroad and Nassagaweya/Esquesing Town Line see themselves in that situaand one of the scenes included a car being blown up following the `accident'. The crash scene was filmed over two days in the area of 17 Sideroad and Nassagaweya/ Esquesing Town Line. It was meticulously rehearsed and filmed with the invaluable co-operation and assistance of Halton Police, Milton Fire Department and Halton EMS in Milton. That was a major reason this area was chosen a second time for filming, said Kristensen. "Without their help in the filming we couldn't create the scenes that we do," said Kristensen. "It's quite a dramatic scene when it's all edited together. We really pushed the envelope as far as injuries and carnage," said Kristensen. The film opens with the crash scene. What unfolds is the teenage driver's memories of all the mistakes he has made leading up to the crash.
