The bones, which were in an advanced state of decomposition, were mixed in with other items that had been dumped on the property and vegetation had grown up around them making it initially difficult for police to identify them. Not wanting to disturb the area police photographed the bones and showed the photos to an anthropologist who determined they weren't human and were actually cat bones. The 80th Annual Santa Georgetown Santa Claus Parade, sponsored by the Lions Club of Georgetown will start at 5 p.m. The popular nighttime parade also draws lots of spectators along the route, which begins at Hwy. 7 and Sinclair Ave., proceeds along Guelph St. to Mill St. along Mill St. to Charles St. to Park St. to Georgetown Fairgrounds. There will be 72 entries in the parade this year which include six bands, said past president of the Lions Club of Georgetown and chairman of the Santa Parade committee Al Watt. The theme will be "Silent Light, Holy Light." Bands in the parade include Primetime Brass, M.M. Robinson Drum Line, Optimists Alumni Drum and Bugle Corps, Georgetown Pipe Band, Halton Hills Concert Band and 756 Wild Goose Royal Canadian Air Cadet Squadron. "The Georgetown Lions Club is happy to bring this event on and welcome Santa Claus to town," said Watt. Postal workers will be collecting Letters to Santa from children along the parade route and members of the Georgetown Firefighters Association will be collecting donations of new unwrapped toys for the Salvation Army Toy Drive.
