18 Independent & Free Press,Thursday, November 17, 2011 Williams Mill artisans kick off Christmas exhibit with reception Saturday Come to the Williams Mill Gallery to see a fine selection of paintings, pottery, stone carvings, wood, jewelry, hand blown glass and many finely crafted gift items on view at the Big Show, Small Works exhibit at the Williams Mill Visual Arts Centre. The community is invited to the Opening Celebration being held on Saturday Nov. 19, 1-4 p.m. The show runs until Christmas. The Gallery at the Williams Mill Visual Art Centre in Glen Williams has brought together pieces by resident Mill artists and talented local artisans to feature in the Big Show, Small Works, including: watercolour paintings and photographs Sheri Tenaglia; delicate coloured pencil drawings by Karen Reczuch; fine pottery by Carolyn Filter, Zsuzsa Monastory and Carol Ann Michaelson; sculptures carved in stone by Mary Ellen Farrow, Sandra Hayworth and Michael Young; wood pieces by the Halton Carvers; hand blow glass by Tara Marsh and Carol Nesbitt, jewelry by Naomi Assenheim, and Christine Ford (who also quilts wall pieces).
